Mudbox Final: Goblin 2.0

This is my final project: Goblin 2.0. I started with the basic human body provided in Mudbox. From there I sculpted the face, starting with the ears> I first pulled them out and then pinched them to narrow them at the tip. Next I started on the nose by elongating the original nose and then cutting the bottom to add nostrils. I then started to add clay to make some more defined features.

Next I worked on the body by adding clay to the belly to make him fat. I the elongated the wrists and hand to stretch out the fingers.

Finally, I added his armor by molding the models chest to look like a chest piece and back to look like straps crossing his back.

To add some depth to the character I used a crack texture to give cracks to the body and a fine-grained gravel texture for the chest.

The final process was painting. Anytime I think of a goblin, I think of a dark-green to dark mustard yellow color. For that reason I painted the entire goblin a dark green with some highlights and painted his cracks a dark mustard color. I finally added warpaint to both the face and armor.
